About this cruise

This 31-night grand voyage sails roundtrip from London Tilbury, tracing the Mediterranean’s many layers with the luxury of time aboard Ambition. Designed for travellers seeking depth and variety, the itinerary moves steadily through Europe and North Africa’s most storied coastlines.

Experience Spain’s southern ports, North Africa’s cultural richness, and an overnight stay in Valletta before continuing to Sicily, Naples, Rome and Tuscany. French character appears in Ajaccio and Marseille, while Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca and Valencia add colour and creativity. The journey concludes with Casablanca, Tangier, Lisbon and Leixões.

Immersive and deeply enriching, this extended sailing is about travelling slowly through history, culture and coastline at a truly expansive scale.

CRUISE HIGHLIGHTS

Valletta
Valletta glows softly in honey-coloured stone, its streets layered with history and sunlight. Fortified walls frame sweeping harbour views, while quiet squares invite moments of pause. Baroque façades and hidden courtyards reveal themselves slowly. Life here moves with a measured elegance. Valletta rewards those who wander and linger.

Messina
Messina arrives framed by mountains and sea, offering Sicily at its most open and expressive. The waterfront stretches wide, with views across the strait shimmering in the light. The city carries a lively southern rhythm, shaped by history, resilience and pride. There’s time to explore or simply absorb the atmosphere. Messina feels warm, generous and unmistakably Sicilian.

Casablanca
Casablanca is alive with contrast and momentum - modern boulevards humming with energy, traditional neighbourhoods alive with sound and scent. Stand beneath the vast Hassan II Mosque, waves crashing at its foundations, and feel the scale of the city meet the power of the ocean. Inland, journeys lead to Marrakech, where lantern-lit souks, tiled courtyards and the pulse of Jemaa el-Fnaa immerse you in colour, music and movement. Casablanca is a gateway not just to Morocco, but to its many moods.
